Purity culture makes people feel like their bodies are dirty, their desires are suspect and sinful, and that pleasure should be avoided at all costs.

For the women I work with, there is no more dangerous force on the planet.

Whether you grew up religious, are still a devoted believer, have left it all behind, or simply feel that these cultural norms have bought their way into you somehow... whether you ever bought in to them or not... you are welcome here.

ONCE I was ready to heal this part of me, I decided that I was willing to do whatever it took, even if the journey was going to be painful, hard, and expensive.  

And to be honest... it kind of was. 

I read everything I could get my hands on about sexual healing & sexual freedom. I got my Masters from Yale and my PhD, publishing work on sex trafficking and sexual healing in academic journals, while I supplemented my work with my own trauma healing & training, ten years of healing modality work, therapy, coaching, and support.  

I reconsidered my relationship with church, with God, and with my body.

I found my way home.

I found a way to uncover who I had been all along: free, healed, whole, sexy, passionate, alive, divine. 

I committed to creating something that wove together all that I had learned, experienced & felt. I wasn't just going to do this for me.

I was going to do this for all of us. 

I studied shame. Intimacy. Healing.
I got a Masters in Religion from Yale.
I got my PhD in Women’s Studies and Trauma Theory.

I devoted my life to understanding how we break free - and what it takes to actually feel safe, powerful, and pleasured in our bodies again.

And now, I help other women do the same.

This work isn’t just intellectual. It’s intimate.

It’s sacred.
It’s personal.

It’s for every woman who is ready to stop performing healing and actually feel free.

Pleasure After Purity Culture is my most personal offering.

It’s not about shaming your past.
It’s about unlocking your future.

You deserve to want.
To touch and be touched.
To eat and savor.
To create and rest. To not feel guilty for making money, having fun or feeling beautiful.

I led Bible Studies. Married the “right” man. Said the prayers.
I was the “good girl.”
The one who waited.
The one who believed that if I followed the rules, I’d be happy - safe, whole, loved.

But when everything fell apart - when the self doubt, betrayal, and silence cracked through the surface - I realized something devastating:

I had traded my aliveness for approval.

And even after I "knew better", the shame stayed with me.

That’s when my real journey began.

Not just toward deconstruction, but toward reclamation.

Toward uncovering.

We are living in a time of reckoning about women's power.

Roe v. Wade overturned.

Modesty rhetoric on TikTok.

Trad wife influencers growing platforms by teaching women to shrink.

Even if you’ve left the church, or never went at all, purity culture is alive in the systems we live under.

It shows up every time you:

...Apologize for being “too much”

...Feel guilty for enjoying dessert

...Dim your light so a man doesn’t feel emasculated

...Avoid intimacy because you still freeze up

...Sabotage your income because success feels unsafe

You don’t need to live in reaction anymore.
It’s time to live in reclamation.
