The Gospel of Mary Magdalene and Why Pleasure Is
the Antidote to Purity Culture
You Secretly Want More.
Don’t you?
More closeness. More freedom.
More beauty. More pleasure.
And you’ve always wanted it.
But somewhere along the way,
you were told that wanting was dangerous.
That your hunger meant you were selfish.
That your body was unsafe.
That your pleasure needed to be hidden, controlled, denied.
You were taught to be careful, quiet,
And yet - the ache for more has never left you.
The ache that so many of us carry -
branded into the collective after so many
women who wanted more and went for it, suffered -
and sometimes died -
because they knew too much, they spoke too much,
they owned too much land or had too much money….
Because this world has never truly been safe
for women to be the fullest versions of themselves.
Not now. Not ever.
I'm ready to claim my spot.
Centuries ago, a gospel was silenced.
A woman’s voice buried under scandal and slander.
Mary Magdalene - the first to proclaim resurrection,
the one Jesus trusted to carry the message of life -
was rewritten as the problem, the distraction, the whore.
Her story was twisted because
it was too dangerous to leave intact.
Why?
Because she embodied what the
men in power feared most:
A woman rooted in her body.
A woman who knew her desire as divine.
A woman who refused to be erased.
And her story is our story.

Sacred and Shameless is an immersion in Mary Magdalene’s gospel - and a reclamation of your own.
It is where history, healing, and holy rebellion meet.
Where the body is no longer the enemy -
and where pleasure becomes prayer.
This isn’t another set of rules,
or a spiritual self-help checklist.
This is a resurrection.
Yours.
Hi. I'm Dr. Kimberley
Feminist theologian, intimacy coach, trauma-informed priestess, and shameless devotee of pleasure.
After researching and studing the silenced stories of women in Christian history, I dedicated my life to helping women heal from the shame those stories created.
I know the horrors of purity culture both inside and outside of the church.
I know that the trauma of purity culture is not limited to those who grew up Christian, or Evangelical - it is pervasive in our mainstream culture, our schools, and our politics.
I know purity culture not just as an academic subject, but as a lived experience.
I know what it is to feel your body as a battleground.
And I know the holy liberation that comes from reclaiming it.
I’ve worked with thousands of women across the world to help them trust their desires, find safety in intimacy, and build lives of joy, wealth, leadership, and deep, shameless pleasure.
And now, I’ve woven together everything I know - history, scripture, somatics, intimacy, trauma healing - into Sacred and Shameless.
Because your freedom matters.
Your desire matters.
And your pleasure is not dangerous - t’s divine.

Each module is not a “lesson” but a doorway -
a ritual container to return you to yourself.
🌹 Module 1: Opening the Alabaster Jar
We begin with Mary Magdalene’s legacy and what it means to hold desire as sacred. You’ll discover how your longings, far from being shameful, are invitations into deeper intimacy with yourself and the divine.
🌹 Module 2: The Silenced Gospel, The Defiant Woman
Here we uncover the fragments of Mary Magdalene’s gospel and why her voice was erased from history. You’ll see how her defiance becomes a model for reclaiming your own voice and authority.
🌹 Module 3: Burning the Good Girl Script
Purity culture has always been less about holiness and more about control. In this module, you’ll trace how those old rules were designed to keep women small—and begin to unravel them from your own life.
🌹 Module 4: The Body as Sanctuary
Your body is not a problem to solve but a sanctuary to inhabit. This module explores how pleasure reconnects you to safety, devotion, and the holy aliveness that shame tried to take away.
🌹 Module 5: The Sacred Art of Wanting More
Mary Magdalene was not only a disciple but a patroness—a woman of means who poured resources into what she believed in. Here you’ll learn to embrace your desires for love, wealth, and visibility as part of your sacred calling.
🌹 Module 6: Eden Was Never Closed
The final module is a homecoming—a return to the truth that there was never a split between body and spirit. You’ll leave with a felt sense that pleasure is not the forbidden fruit but the garden itself.
